It took me 1 hour of practice in an empty lot and I’ve ridden the scooter ever since, easy as pie. Believe it or not, I prefer to ride in the street in the bike lanes where the ground is smooth rather then going over the cracking sidewalks.

The scooter goes up to 15 miles per hour and you can go as far as 15 miles with it till the battery is empty, though I think 10 miles is a more reasonable expectation. Charging the battery is super easy as you just use a small charger connected to any electric outlet in your home and connect it to your scooter. Takes about 10 seconds to plug in and about 6 hours to charge. The battery lasts about 6 months, and costs about $125 for a new one and is very easy to put in requiring no mechanical skills.

What I like about the Schwinn Stealth 1000 Electric Scooter is it’s cheap, around $410 or so - it will probably cost you $50 for a bike place to put it together, and requires little maintenance primarily because of its direct drive system. I had an earlier Schwinn Electric Scooter with a Cable drive system, and the cables kept getting tangled up and it was costing me $75 a pop to fix. With the Schwinn S-1000, after about 8 months, I’ve had no repairs or maintenance charges, which I attribute to its direct drive system.  So if you need to upgrade, now is a good time to find cheap epectric scooters for sale!

I would recommend you get your local bike shop to put a small basket on the back of the scooter if you do errands because I don’t believe Schwinn Electric Scooters still come with baskets. Most of the time, because the balance of the Stealth 1000 is so good, I just put any packages on the front part of the floorboard where they seem to balance perfectly.  They are definatey coming down in price, you can find cheap electric scooters for sale everywhere now.

For local travel, the Schwinn Stealth 1000 is the greatest thing since sliced bread too me.

They are definately one of the most popular electric scooters available today and can come with or without seats.  Buying a Razor electric scooter was one of my best purchases, I just love nipping about and not having to get the car out to pop to the shop.  Considering what you get out of them they are such good value and really seem very cheap scooters to buy.

Here we are going to talk about the kick scooters. Razors inventive design and build of the kick scooter has taken the scooter to new levels. Riding ramps and doing freestyle tricks are now a common thing due to the Razor kick scooters, with all this keeping the awesome function of folding for easy transportation. Razor has the A series of scooters as well as the Pro version, the Cruiser, the Carvr and Kiddie Scooters.  All in all they are very cheap electric scooters compared to some of the other out there on the market today.

The A1 is a scooter for the beginner. It is the most inexpensive of the A series and created for a beginner or a young rider. As you get older and better the next scooters are the A2 and the A3. Each of these scooters get a little more expensive then the one before it, but with that the quality and the ride gets better as well. Someone that has been riding for a while would probably be best riding the A2 or A3.

Once you are ready to take the next step, the Pro model is waiting. This is a heavy duty professionally designed and built by the Razor team. This is the board that you can feel confident on riding the ramps and busting out some awesome freestyle tricks and trust that it is going to give you a great ride for a long time. Scooters are become an extreme sport of there own. Inventive new tricks, crazy stunts, and high speeds are the stuff you now see from scooter riders. If you are into cruising and riding hills and sidewalks then razor also has a board built for that. It is called the Cruiser. The Cruiser is built for just that, cruising. It is designed with a wider deck and larger wheels for a smoother more comfortable ride. The Carvr is a scooter with two small wheels and a truck in place of the normal single back wheel. This design makes it easy to balance and ride wherever you want. It has a large wheel much like the Cruiser in the front so that the ride is nice and smooth.

The Kiddie Scooters are just that, scooters for the kids. They are built small and with safety in mind. Made out of plastic they are for very young boys and girls that want to get an early jump on scooter riding.
